Biography

Born in 1975, Sophie Jeaneau has produced and directed documentaries for television, streaming platforms and cinema. After obtaining her Masters Degree in Contemporary History at the Université Paris Nanterre and have attended the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme de Paris, she starts off her career as a journalist. At the age of 25 she directs her first documentary "Désirs de fille". Between 2000 and 2010 she works on more than twenty documentaries, sold in France to TV channels like Arte, France 2, France 5, M6 and abroad to TV channels like Kultura TV, NHK, Radio Canada, National Geographic. Between 2007 and 2012 she's Head of press at the THEMA of Arte and at the same time works with the company Doc in Stock, created by the Frenchman Daniel Leconte.
