Jason Gwen

At the age of 18 Jason enrolled in The Vancouver Youth Theatre in Canada, with Devon Sawa (Final Destination) as the most famous alumni. Returning to NL, he was casted in his first feature film SKIN in 2008, directed by HANRO SMITSMAN. Missing out the first few days of the introduction week -due to filming the feature, Jason walked into class at the Performance/Makers program at the Artez Institute of the Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Leaving in the third year, Jason started his professional career at the age of 22 in various productions, from dance to film, tv, theater, and simultaneously produced and directed his own work. Besides working as actor, Jason is also an electronic/hip hop music artist. He debuted in the music scene in 2017, at the Milkshake Festival and Paradiso in the same weekend. Since then, he has played at iconic stages in the likes of Amsterdam Dance Event, Dutch Design Week Music, Mainstage Dam Square /Pride Amsterdam, in The Amsterdam Museum, on Amsterdam Central Station, and the Uitmarkt. Jason is born close to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Left the country at 8 months, and through a few different countries, ended up in the Netherlands at the age of 5. From the age of 12 Jason travelled between Canada and the Netherlands, as his family is broken up in two, due to communism back in the 80's. Currently he likes to travel between Amsterdam, Vancouver, and Arnhem. And with a loft in New York, as his future house prospects.
