Matthew Hamm is a film and television actor based in New York City.
Matthew recently returned from filming first national commercial in New Zealand for the travel website Booking.com. The commercial is set to air in the United States beginning January, 2014.
In 2009, he appeared as the character "Gil" in the feature length film "One Hit Wonder", which had it's premiere at The New York New Filmmakers Festival. The film went on to win the Best Acting Ensemble Award at the Chashama Film Festival later that year.
In 2008, Matthew won a Platinum Remi Award for Best Short Film at WorldFest (Houston International Film Festival) for his performance as "Chris", a disgruntled Gulf War veteran pushed to the brink, in the short film "It Rises in the East" for House of Talent Studios.
Matthew also has an extensive list of background player credits, having made appearances on television in "Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit", "Royal Pains", "Blue Bloods" and "White Collar".
He has appeared in numerous Off-Off Broadway productions on the stage in New York as well, including a recent performance as Michael in "In The Red Room" at the People's Lounge in the East Village.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from the State University of New York at Albany, and is originally from the city of Hudson, New York.
He is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild / American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
