Douglas LaFont Sr.

Douglas LaFont Sr. worked as a fisherman for 40 years before becoming a boat captain at the age of 59. He married his childhood sweetheart Karen Allemand when he was a teenager, and they have had three children: Douglas Anthony LaFont Jr. (1970), Eric John LaFont (1972), and Jade Michael LaFont (1986). He resides in Larose, Louisiana with his wife and has four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
