Biography

R&B Recording Artist Geri King was introduced to the world in 2000 with her debut EP "Tenderly" shortly after she signed with the New York based Independent record label Nuendo Music Group. "Tenderly", though not widely received in the United States, garnered Geri much International acclaim capturing the attention of music lovers in Australia, Japan, and England and spawned her first fan club in Russia. In 2002, with the sophomore release and her debut Full Length CD "Déjà Vu", Geri King continued to grow fans overseas and was able to flourish on Australian Radio charts for over 30 weeks with 4 top 10 singles "Sunny Days", "Got It Going On", "Not The Man For You" and the number 1 single "Now That I Know". It was shortly after the release of "Déjà Vu" that Geri decided to concentrate on composing and production, and formed her production company Seshet Music. Under Seshet Music Geri composed music for the television series as Gospel Artist Connie Johnson-Brown, with songs like "People Get Ready", "This Is Our World", and the Dove Award Nominated song "Anointing". Not long after forming her production company, Geri's success was recognized by several of the music industry's leading software and equipment manufacturing companies such as Sennheiser Microphones, Sony Pictures Digital, and Steinberg. With this new arsenal of talent, Geri released her third album "Always" in 2004 making her production debut. With "Always", Geri continued her evolution as an artist, songwriter, lyricist, composer and producer. Geri defined her two previous albums as a representation of the progression of her experiences where Pop, R&B, Jazz and Gospel are untied in a magical way. Geri continued this progression making "Always" a testament of the splendid union between production and her unique styling. In 2005, "Always" was digitally released in the United States after Nuendo Music Group signed a distribution deal with Red Distribution/Sony-BMG. It was under this new alliance that more devoted fans eagerly received "Always". After a move from the East Coast to Beverly Hills in 2007, Geri and her longtime production partner formed Audio Blueprint, Lotus Media Design and Khepera Records in 2008. All of which are under their parent company The Denar Group, LLC. In 2010, she formed Abstract Orange Music Publishing with SESAC, also left BMI as a longtime songwriter, and moved to SESAC as a songwriter as well.
