Jacques Steenkamp is an award-winning South African journalist, bestselling author, screenwriter and aspiring actor. He studied film and scriptwriting in the UK at both the Bournemouth & Poole College of Further Education and Bournemouth University between 2000 and 2004. His first book, The Griekwastad Murders: The Crime that shook South Africa, is currently being adapted into a feature film by Deon Meyer's The Karoo Film Company. Steenkamp will co-produce the movie. He moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 2016 with his family where he is currently working as a news director for Stuff.co.nz and the Sunday Star-Times.
