Jonathan Louis Lewis

Jonathan Lewis was born in Oakland, California. He was born to be a filmmaker. He made his first film with his brother at the tender age of 5 years old. Jonathan Lewis has always been involved in the creative arts. Lewis has written many shorts and screenplays throughout his career. Jonathan first came onto the filmmaking scene in 2003 with his numerous shorts and series of successful montages including: "Time to Go", "Lost Little Girl", "The Big Chase", and "The Monster". At that time Lewis began the very successful Black Sunday Film Festival. Soon Lewis began his filmmaking journey with "The Telephone", which started in the spring of 2006. While working on a degree in mass communications & media Jonathan began working on his next film. "The Telephone" started in the spring of 2006. It was a great success. The film was in the New York Film & Video Festival in Los Angeles. It also appeared at the Hollywood HD/DV Film Festival and won best picture at the Menlo College Oakies Awards in 2007. Jonathan kept the ball rolling working on his next film. A feature film with his brother was the next step. In 2007 "Black Devil Doll" was born. It instantly has become a cult classic after its release in 2009. Directly after shooting Black Devil Doll Jonathan continued to move forward in terms of his success. He attended Columbia College working towards a B.A. in Film Production, and Majored in Directing. One of his many latest projects in post production is a film created from the Giallo Genre of Italian film history. It's called "Darkness of the Night". It is expected to be released in 2011. He is now in production of another untitled feature film which will be expected for release in 2011 as well. Along with that film Jonathan is working on feature film called "Bottomfeeder". He is also working with a young Hip Hop group called Soapbox Melodics. Their new music video called SBM directed by Jonathan Lewis. Along with that directing commercials and music videos And many new projects are in the works. Jonathan is currently working on a number of films and continues to violently push the envelope.
