Elena Vazintaris

Elena Vazintaris is a Choreographer, Movement Director and Film Maker based in New York City. Born in Toronto, Canada, Elena spent two years in the Fine Arts Dance Program at Toronto's York University before moving to New York City. She has danced back up for artists such as Ludacris and Shakira and has been photographed by famed photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani for Nike's Body By Dance Print Campaign. She has danced in Nike Retail Video Spots, Converse Shoe and Fuse Television commercials as well as the MTV Video Music Awards. Elena's choreography has been commissioned for projects spanning fashion editorial, film, music video and the stage. Many of have garnered attention from international film festivals winning awards and nominations at SXSW, Miami Fashion Film Festival, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Danza Chile, Toronto International Short Film Festival and featured in Rolling Stone, Tribeca Film, Dazed Digital, Vh1, MTV and Noisey. Other music video's, commercials and clients have included Refinery 29, Yip Deceiver, Big Data, Cool Uncle, Kate Spade, Hugo Boss, Marella and Banana Republic. She has choreographed numerous film and video projects for directors Nina Lisandrello, Erik Madigan Heck, Daniel Garcia and most recently Elena has been commissioned by the Studio of Ryan McGinley as Movement Director for his commercial projects.
