Eduardo Guerra Carneiro

Portuguese Journalist and writer. Publishe his first poetry book, "O perfil da estátua", at the age of 19, followed by many other titles, such as: "É assim que se Faz a História" (1973); "Dama de Copas" (1981); "Contra a Corrente" (1988); "Profissão de Fé" (1990); "Lixo" (1993); and "A Noiva das Astúrias" (2001). His poetry is influenced by the surrealist movement and, later, by neo-romanticism. He is represented in several anthologies of Portuguese poetry. Translated several literary works into Portuguese, such as The adventures of Arthur Gordon Pym, by Edgar Allan Poe.
