James Roy Smith is a British actor, musician, and gas engineer, best known for playing Damien Trotter in the legendary sitcom Only Fools and Horses. He appeared in two fan-favourite episodes-Batman and Robin and the emotional finale Time on Our Hands.
Born in Watford on 22 February 1990, James moved to Dorset at age two. Even while filming Only Fools, his true passion was always music. He went on to become the drummer for The Weekend Ticket, a popular wedding and events band known for getting dancefloors moving across the South of England.
Following in his father's footsteps, James became a skilled tradesman and now works as a fully qualified gas engineer. In 2024, he proudly stepped into a new role-dad-and continues to balance family life, music, and work with humour and heart.
James is currently working on a special Only Fools and Horses-inspired music project, set for release in the near future-a tribute to the show that started it all and a way to blend his love of performance, nostalgia, and sound.
