Kostas Martakis

Kostas Martakis was born on May 25th, 1984 as Konstantinos Martakis, in Piraeus, Attiki, to Nikolaos Martakis and Lamprini Limperopoulou. At the age of 16 Kostas was a very well known basketball player. He played basketball until the age of 21 started his music career on the Dream Show the music (2006), and even though he didn't win Kostas won the love of the Greek crowds. In 2007 he released his debut album Anatropi (Subversion). It became a big hit with fans and made a place for himself in the music world with a succession of big-selling albums. His music career is still on the run with big hits that break the Greek top ten and a few of them going outside Greece. Kostas has released five studio albums until now and 2018 finds him in the studio recording his latest (sixth) personal album. Kostas has branched out into an acting career, having most recently starred in Rent the Musical (2012), Your Face Sounds Familiar (2013), Dancing with the Stars (2014), Kalimeroudia (2015) and more.
