Biography

Kip's interest in film began at an early age while watching 1960s and 1970s genre films, many of which were Stanley Kubrick Films such as the killing. He enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer in 1998, after graduating from Dublin High School in Dublin, Georgia, where he served for 6 years. He was stationed in places like Seoul S. Korea, Ft. Carson Colorado, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. While serving in the war, he realized his desire to share his life experiences through the art of visual storytelling. He enrolled in the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia after receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 2004. He graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Film-making and TV Production. He admits that his film-making style is influenced by directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Tony Scott and Eli Roth, Brian De Palma; claims that his writing style is influenced by Chuck Palahniuk and Neil Strauss.
