Matt is an experienced general manager, executive producer and veteran of the media and entertainment industry. Over 15+ years, Matt has structured a wide range of international financing and co-production deals both as an attorney and media executive.
Most recently, Matt is the co-founder and CEO of Soshefeigh, an independent production company focused on international programming. Matt has created original first-run formats around the world in a variety of genres, including game shows and kids animation. Based in Vancouver B.C., Soshefeigh has created and sold shows in over 10 countries, working with a range of partners such as CBC, UK's Channel 4 and Sony Pictures Television.
Matt got his break in the industry in 2005 when he sold his first show to Bravo ... the critically acclaimed "NYC Prep" chronicling the lives of five prep school kids on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Since then, Matt has held executive positions at some of Media & Entertainment's biggest companies. From Shine America to 51 Minds, Matt has created and launched formats that have sold around the world, including the international hit "The Face" as VP of Creative Affairs at Reveille/Shine. He's worked closely with top producers across unscripted including Scott Stone (The Mole, Loveline, The Man Show, Joe Schmo), Cris Abrego (CEO of EndemolShine) and Howard Owens (Propagate Content/Reveille).
Prior to his work as a Media exec, Matt was a securities litigator with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, in both London and New York, handling groundbreaking international IPO's including Turkey's first listing on the NYSE along with pro bono work on behalf of Pakistani clients in concert with the U.S. Department of State. Matt has a J.D. from Georgetown Law, was the Associate Editor of the American Criminal Law Review and clerked for Judge Ricardo Urbina on the U.S. District Court in Washington D.C.
