Leif Ramsey is an entrepreneur and filmmaker. He runs SVAD Productions, a creative advertising agency that works exclusively with video. He is the director of the documentary film, Black Friday.
After completing university with a focus in design Leif worked on a feature film in Ireland and fell in love with the film industry. In the fall of that year he went on a road trip from Colorado to Argentina in a van with 6 other guys. While on the adventure he realized 2 things: he loved a good narrative and he needed a job. So, he returned to his alma mater and found someone, Mark Thomas, who he found had a shared idea: What would happen if there was a creative agency that brought in commercial work to mentor students? The idea took off and SVAD Productions has grown since 2006. From SVAD's early days of accepting every $50 logo design that came their way, to learning how to build sustainable and deep relationships with their clients, it has truly matured in the years since. SVAD Productions is owned and operated by Southern Adventist University.
In 2010 Lef directed the documentary film Black Friday. As a first-time feature film director he found out that the road is long and winding. After filming Black Friday in 2010 the film was put on hold due to funding. This year, he and a core group of friends are running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding to complete the film.
Leif has a love for travel, exploring, and business ideas. He lives with his brilliant and inspiring wife Lucky in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee.
