Juani Feliz is an actress, born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, NY. She started acting professionally at the age of 14 in NYC, but took a hiatus from acting when she went on to attend Harvard College in Cambridge, MA. It was at Harvard that Juani decided to explore her love for the biomedical sciences and completed a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After college, Juani worked full-time at The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering in Boston while pursuing a second degree at Harvard; a master's degree in Management. Despite having a promising career in the bioengineering field, Juani longed to return to acting. She took a leap of faith and moved back to NYC after grad school to continue her career as an actress. Since her return, Juani has made it on the large screen through her roles on The Purge: Election Year and Canal Street and has worked on various TV shows including Blue Bloods, Shades of Blue, Power, etc. Most recently, Juani worked as a series regular on the ABC network drama pilot Until The Wedding, and will be starring in the upcoming feature film Quiet In My Town. Juani's goal is to play roles and tell stories of Latina women that break the mold and defy the stereotypes of young Latina women in America, just as she has been able to do in real life. She hopes to use her artistic platform to inspire strength, confidence and possibility in women, people of color, and anyone that finds themselves fighting adversity in pursuit of their dreams.
