Arthur Marcotte is an American film actor born in Chicago, Illinois. Arthur grew up in the south Chicago neighborhood of Roseland and later moved to Tinley Park, Illinois. He attended Fenger High School for a period of time, later transferring to Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park Illinois. At the age of 17, Art enlisted in the United States Navy. His ship assisted in the evacuation of Vietnam. After his discharge from the Navy, Arthur met his wife Donna. They married in 1976 and had four children.
Arthur moved to rural Elizabeth, Illinois in 1993 and purchased a small motel on the outskirts of town. He and his wife still own and operate the facility.
Arthur appeared in his first and only role as Shane in the slasher film "Sigma Die!" also starring Joe Estevez. He fell into the role of Shane by coincidence and invitation, as the cast and crew of Sigma Die were lodging at his motel. The creator of the film thought Arthur had the perfect look for the creepy silent character.
Arthur has contemplated taking further acting roles that have been offered, but he prefers to spend his time in his garage writing movie scripts, daydreaming, and drinking beer.
