Jason Daniel Baker is a Toronto-based political activist, film critic and writer. He was the Conservative candidate for Canadian parliament in the 2000 federal election in the Toronto riding of York South-Weston. He served as a volunteer on the federal Tory leadership campaigns of Joe Clark (1998), Peter MacKay (2003) & Belinda Stronach (2004) as well as the provincial Tory leadership campaign of Ernie Eves in 2002. He was also active in the campaign to merge the Canadian Alliance party into the Conservative Party in 2003. He was the founding president of York South-Weston Federal Conservative Association in 2004.
