Emily Millen

Biography

While dancing around the kitchen to "Like A Virgin" at the tender age of four, Emily's infatuation for performing began. Being born and raised in Peterborough Ontario Canada provided a great opportunity to excel and experience many forms of art: from the Peterborough Children's Choir, to instrumental music festivals, to dancing at recitals, to even competitive figure skating. After 12 years of competitive skating training, Emily chose to steer her heart back to its original birthplace. Therefore, at 18 she attended a two-year, intensive performing arts program at Toronto's Randolph Academy. There her strengths in singing, dancing, and acting flourished. The school provided amazing experience in monologue and scene work, Shakespeare plays (such as "Twelfth Night"), cabaret numbers, musicals (such as "Into the Woods"), to full-length plays. Taking on the role of Christine, in Judith Thompson's play, "Lion in the Streets" was a definite highlight for her. Emily resides between Los Angeles, California, and Vancouver, British Columbia. Emily is the daughter of Greg Millen
