Jung-chi Chang

Born in Taipei, 1980. Chang Jun-Chi began making documentary films during his graduate studies. In 2006 his first documentary, My Football Summer, won him the Golden Horse Award for best documentary. Later, he became involved in drama by making short films. The experience from making documentaries enables him to expertly portray life moments and catch fresh ideas through ordinary human relationships. Therefore, his works exquisitely show the emotions of characters and fluent film language. In 2012 his first feature, Touch of the Light, was presented by Wong Kar-Wai and represented Taiwan in the Academy Awards for best foreign language film, winning him the Golden Horse Award for best new director.
