Robin Jonas

Biography

Robin Jonas is a senior entertainment, production and media executive and 20-year veteran of the business. She has worked at several studios including Miramax Films, Walt Disney Pictures and Paramount Pictures. Robin was President of Kevin Costner's multi-million dollar Tig Productions including development, production, film finance and marketing, as well as leading the development and production of television series and online/multi-platform content. Jonas partnered with Costner and set up Treehouse Films in 2008. Robin has an executive track record in publicity, marketing, development and production working on over 300 films such as SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, THE ENGLISH PATIENT, PULP FICTION, CIDER HOUSE RULES, THE KING'S SPEECH, AMÉLIE, OPEN RANGE, GOOD WILL HUNTING, MRS. BROWN, GANGS OF NEW YORK, MALENA, and THE ARTIST. She has produced several projects including MR. BROOKS, starring Costner, William Hurt and Demi Moore; Disney's SWING VOTE, starring Costner, Dennis Hopper, Nathan Lane, and Stanley Tucci; and GRAVES with Nick Nolte and Sela Ward, a Lionsgate Production. Robin will join Costner as Producer on the multi-platform, THE EXPLORER'S GUILD and will produce TINMAN with British Director James Strong. She has retained the sole rights to an Untitled Cold War epic set in The Republic Of Georgia, based on an uncovered true story. An avid reader, Robin has amassed the rights to many books and stories she believes will responsibly challenge and entertain audiences while remaining socially conscious and uplifting. A hardworking film and television producer, Robin is also a strategic advisor and consultant in such diverse areas as politics, communications, multi-media platforms, branding and content, development and production. Robin has brought her contacts and messaging skills to various political campaigns over the years -honing her abilities while at Miramax Films, beginning with Academy campaign season and right on through various Presidential cycles. She has worked with the Fuel Freedom Foundation and partnered with Forbes Africa for the strategic development of several initiatives to promote business on the continent. As a consultant to Norman Communications, Robin helped strategize on behalf of various African nations in current war and post-conflict zones. Robin maintains an ongoing involvement in the work of her father, the late wildlife sculptor Louis Paul Jonas, Jr. who along with her grandfather, created a collection of over 400 wildlife miniatures - many in bronze - on display in museums globally, including their life-size mounted collection of elephants at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. Robin grew up in the Berkshire Hills on the East Coast and attended school at Boston University. She has been a nationally-ranked ski racing champion in giant slalom, was named to Who's Who In America, is a member of the Women In Film Society, The Producers Guild of America, a board member of The World Is Just A Book Away Foundation and on the Advisory Board of The Case Western Reserve Cancer Council to name a few.
