Jim Dawson

Jim Dawson has written extensively about American pop culture, particularly early rock 'n' roll and Hollywood films. Elements of his 1980 article on Ritchie Valens in the Los Angeles Times were used in the 1987 rock 'n' roll biography, "La Bamba." He also wrote the mini-documentary "Bunker Hill, Los Angeles" for the Criterion Collection's 2011 DVD/Blu-Ray release of the 1955 classic detective film "Kiss Me Deadly."
