Born into the family of Russian circus artists Alexandra and Viacheslav Shatin. He traveled throughout the whole Soviet Union with the circus troupe where his parents worked until 1986, is when he joined the Moscow State Circus School. Graduated in 1990 as Russian Circus Artist with Sp.A. in Acrobatics-Gymnastics. In the same year he joined The International Stunt-Acrobatic Association as performer and instructor. Also the same year he begins to study an acting career in All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov and graduated in 1994 as a dramatic actor with M.F.A. Between 1990 and 1994 he worked in various film projects mainly in area of stunts and coordinating. As part of the International Stunt-Acrobatic Association is actively involved in developing of "Action Training System" (ATS). In 1994 he was invited to join the initiative to open a branch of the Russian State University of Cinematography in Mexico City named "El Instituto del Arte de La Interpretacion Teatral y Cinematografica", for this reason he comes to Mexico as part of teacher workforce. In 1996 he founded along with Daniel Valadez "Action Art Academy" and this fact is considered as the birth of the company that today is known as "sigmaunit". The company is principally engaged in the development and performance of Action Scenes and Action Rigging as well as providing training programs. Mikhail continues to serve as director of the company until now.
