Gunilla von Post was a Swedish aristocrat and socialite noted for a book outlining an intimate relationship with John F. Kennedy in the 1950s, titled "Love, Jack", published in 1997. In 2010, she auctioned letters written by Kennedy to her. She was educated in hotel management and cookery attending the École hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland. Gunilla von Post met by chance with JFK in Cagnes sur Mer on the French Riveria in August 1953. She was sent to the Cote d'Azur for a month to improve her French language skills. In September JFK married Jacqueline Bouvier but the young Swedish woman was not forgotten. Two years later, in August 1955, JFK visited Sweden and his girlfriend for a week. Later the same year Gunilla von Post married the wealthy Swedish landowner Anders Ekman. The marriage ended in tragedy with Ekman's accidental death four years later. They had two daughters, Andrea Ekman and Rosina Espirito Santo. Gunilla von Post later married Weisner Miller, an American IBM executive, and moved to the United States.
