Tarek Zohdy is an Egyptian-born American writer, actor, and lawyer who graduated from Louisiana State University with Honors and went on to acquire his Juris Doctorate from a Boston University, one of the top law schools in the U.S. In 2018 Tarek co-wrote and starred along-side top-flight Hollywood talent in the feature film "1st Born," and in 2019 starred in "My Stretch of Texas Ground," both for Amazon Prime. Tarek, a partner in L.I.F.E. Productions, Inc., has garnered distinction for being one of the first filmmakers to cast an individual Artificially Intelligent entity named "Erica" in a $70 million Science Fiction Motion Picture in association with Professors Hiroshi Ishiguro and Kohei Ogawa of the University of Osaka and Telecommunication Research Institute. The film "b," featuring "Erica" which Tarek co-wrote and co-created the story for, is slated to complete filming in the second quarter of 2021.
Before moving to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of filmmaking and acting, Tarek grew up between Cairo, Egypt and Baton Rouge. He has also built a career as one of the top consumer rights attorneys in the United States. Tarek is fluent in Egyptian Arabic and English, proficient in two other dialects of Arabic, and conversational in German.
