Biography

Dwayne Lawler was born in Sydney, Australia. He studied acting with legendary Australian actress Babette Stephens AM,MBE for seven years. According to her biography "Never Upstaged: Babette Stephens, her life and times," he was her last student. In 2004, he played the role of Macbeth in a production of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" at the New National Theatre, Tokyo. While in Japan he trained in Tate-do (Japanese sword fighting) with Dai Mizuno and Butoh with Dairakudakan, Waguri Yukio, Mikami Kayo, Nakajima Natsu and Kobayashi Saga. In 2006, he performed his solo production, Tokyo Vampire at the Riant Theatre in New York.
