Biography

Nicholas Kattar is originally from Lawrence, MA. but as a child grew up traveling extensively and living in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. He spent his childhood in Singapore, Texas, and England, and graduated from Gonzaga high school in Dublin, Ireland Nicholas Kattar graduated Berklee College of Music with a music degree in 2004. He has been living and working as an actor and songwriter for the past seven years. You can see him in the upcoming movie,"The Dictator" as Makroub Manari. He has studied Meisner with Robert Modica who was his first teacher when he came to New York and describes him as his mentor. He also studied with the great Peter Jensen at The Terry Schreiber Studio. Along with acting, Nicholas is an aspiring songwriter, and is freelancing with WacBiz Music Publishing. Nicholas is constantly working on improving his craft in acting and songwriting. His two angels as someone once so eloquently put it. He is also a writer of prose/poetry and essays. He has one brother and sister in-law who live in Hong Kong. Both his parents live in Dubai. A dual citizen of The United States and Great Britain Lebanese, Irish, Scottish, and French Canadian descent. History & Political Science buff. The Count Of Monte Cristo, Town & City (Kerouac's first novel), Middlesex, The World According To Garp, The Plot Against America, and The Last Good Kiss by James Crumley are among his favorite books. His favorite writers include: John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Philip Roth, Hunter S. Thompson, Saul Bellow, Herman Hesse, John Irving Goodfellas is his favorite movie. Ran track and played baseball as a kid. Played rugby in high school Huge Red Sox and Celtics fan. He is an avid reader and enjoys photography and playing backgammon in his spare time. Dreams of owning his own record store one day.
