Mel Jass

Mel Jass was a famous TV personality in the Minneapolis - Saint Paul market. He hosted Mel's Matinee Movie on WTCN TV channel 11 (now KARE) for 21 years beginning in 1958. He is remembered as one the greatest TV pitchman of his era and for his interviews of everyday people. He would ask wives (or children) what their husband (or father)did for a living and Mel would always reply: "He's got a good job!"
