Biography

Andúl Zambrano Ruelas, Actor, Director and Writer, was born in Monterrey Mexico. He is the eldest of three brothers, the son of Raquel Ruelas González, who gave him his first examples in the art world as a plastic artist and painter, and Mateo A. Zambrano Villarreal, an electrical engineer who involved Andúl as a young man in the business of the electrical installation, but he always knew that his vocation was acting. In his adolescence and adulthood he has been a faithful practitioner of martial arts and boxing, including Boxing with the Golden Gloves in 2001. His first important film performance was when he auditioned for the movie Cumbia Callera, he got a main role (Guipiri) that earned him a Nomination in 2009 in the Silver Goddesses as Best New Actor. With a long theatrical training and more than 50 works to his credit, he shaped his own acting style in cinema, based on the Method. His theatrical career has been in Mexico and Spain. In 1999 With the help of his mother and an old typewriter, he finished his first film script (El Último Golpe) which he would shoot 8 years later.
