Lissette Plasencia

From Perth Amboy, New Jersey, this actress is an eclectic mixture of cultures. Born from Dominican/Israeli parents, she has participated in various forms of entertainment from modeling to acting since she was a child. At the tender age of ten, Lissette was first introduced to a theatrical play which was performed on the streets of Perth Amboy. Her first acting experience was through church activities and productions. One long running production which is still running today is the annual Via Crucis' (The Way of the Cross) performed in Spanish. She worked on every aspect of the production from background, production assistant, wardrobe, make-up, supporting to lead. After completing course work at John Casablanca she realized that acting and film interested her more. She moved on and put more effort and focused into film production and acting. Lissette began taking acting technique courses, commercial classes, and workshops while still attending high school. She then studied with Pam Scott at T. Schreiber Studios in New York City. Her most recent studies were with Terry Knickerbocker at William Esper Studio, NYC where she continues to hone her craft. Since her first experience on a film set she was determined to learn more about the film making process. She took a video production class to learn the basic tools in film making to better help her understand the technicalities of a moving picture. Her experiences on a set range from extra work, featured, supporting, and lead. She has done work on television shows, student projects, featured and independent films. Whether the project was on a paid/low-no/deferred pay, she would still volunteer to be part of the production. It shows that she has a passion for evolving into one of the many great actors which have paved the way for so many. She is limitless in her pursuit of learning and excelling as much as possible to make her the best feather one can be.
