Biography

Chris Greene is a native New Yorker born in Mount Vernon and raised in Yonkers who is best known for his roles in the tv shows Queen of the South and ATLANTA and historically based films LOVING and The Birth of a Nation. Chris, like many other Actors, found himself between homes at a young age after his parents separated. His parents would get him into the music program at school where he found solace performing as a drummer. After earning a musical scholarship to attend Winston Salem State University in North Carolina, Chris would be introduced to the Dramatic Arts at neighboring college, The North Carolina School of the Arts. It was there that Chris would find his love for acting with his first role was as a Featured Background Actor in the independent film Chicks 101. With over 15 years of training and experience, Chris has appeared in commercials for companies such as AT&T and Chevy, and has worked alongside the likes of Alice Braga, Colman Domingo, Bill Cobbs, Aunjanue Ellis, Nick Offerman, Hugh Laurie, John Lee Hancock, Carl Franklin, Donald Glover and Jeff Nichols. Under his production company Detour Entertainment, Chris has been the Director of short films and documentaries with some of his Actors going on to earn nominations and wins at several respectable film festivals. Aside from spending time with his daughter Zoé, who has also taken to acting, Chris coaches Actors on the importance of having a positive lifestyle through his organization The L.O.A.A., Life of an Actor!
