Rebecca Torrellas

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Rebecca Torrellas began performing lead roles in theater at age 5. At age 6 she began dancing training, dancing on television on shows in Puerto Rico such as Sandra Zaiter and Titi Chagua. Moving to Victoria, Texas, at the age of 9, she continued dancing and became part of the speech team, performing in the play "Up The Down Staircase." At Texas A&M University, she took acting classes, but music took priority when her alternative rock band, Spencer's Rocket, opened new doors to songwriting. Eventually, Rebecca moved to Houston to work on an independent solo singing career. What followed were two internationally known albums, "No Hard Feelings" and "Let The Drama Begin." Songwriting eventually led to her writing her first script, "Call To Fly," a skateboarding film in which she took a starring role hoping to promote her music. However, it was her acting performance that was noticed in the Houston film community. After some encouragement and pushing, she took the lead role of Alana in the horror movie "Zombiefied," which she also helped edit. Her performance in the movie led her to lead role in "The Good Friend," currently in production. Her most recent project, Tony Escamilla's "Teacher Shortage," in which she acts opposite horror scream queen Brinke Stevens. The movie also features some of her music.
