Biography

Kevin is the founding partner of Studio Unknown and is primarily a Re-recording Mixer and Dialogue editor. He began his career in sound almost 30 years ago playing in bands and working in live theatre before transitioning into post production sound. He founded Studio Unknown in 2001, and in 2008 he shifted the focus of the studio's model and opened a Bicoastal, Dolby® Approved sound facility to service filmmakers across the country. His sound work has been heard at film festivals including SXSW, Toronto, Tribeca, Berlin, Cannes, Cucalorus and the Hollywood Film Festival. Broadcast credits include sound design and mix for programs for Discovery, National Geographic, NASA, PBS, ESPN and others. Kevin has been a part of many nominated and award winning projects nationwide that include the Emmy's, Telly's, Addy's, CINE Golden Eagle and MPSE. Kevin is an active member of the Cinema Audio Society (CAS), an organization formed in 1964 for the purpose of advancing the art of cinematic sound. He has also served as an adjunct professor at local Community Colleges, teaching Audio Production and has a crazy fun wife and kids...and dog.
