Biography

Zara Dow was the presenter for a music television show called The Mix on DM Digital, in 2006. Zara hosted music videos from the likes of James Blunt to Trina, as requested by the callers. The show was aired in more than 300 countries and requests were used to compile the chart show; which Zara also hosted on the weekend. Zara hosted 24 shows before leaving to commence her studies in French at Westminster University. Upon returning from lectures at Marylebone campus one night, she watched Matt Damon perform a scene at Waterloo station for The Bourne Ultimatum. This inspired Zara to pursue a career in films. Zara was living at International House, opposite Kevin Spacey's residence, when she was invited to a screening in Soho and got her first screen credit in Screaming Blue Murder. This gave Zara confidence to leave university and sign up with agencies to secure work in films. In 2007, Zara registered with Mad Dog Casting and worked as a background actor in films such as Mike Leigh's Happy Go Lucky and How to lose friends and alienate people, with Kirsten Dunst, Jeff Bridges and Megan Fox.
