Jim is a Chicago-based freelance filmmaker and editor whose work has screened internationally, and whose unconventional style has garnered critical notices. His 2010 short, "Drift," received several accolades/nominations on the festival circuit, including two audience awards. His original feature script--a dark, coming-of-age period drama called "Sunny Days"--received excellent coverage from Electric City Entertainment (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines) and OddLot Entertainment (Drive, Ender's Game). The Black List called it, "a beautifully written, complex character study with a bewitching atmosphere...evaluated purely on the depth, artfulness, and insight of its writing, 'Sunny Days' is better than the vast majority of scripts."
His latest psychological horror short, "Violets," was the recipient of the 22nd Chicago Underground Film Festival's 2015 Audience Award. Having recently completed a prolific festival run, the film is now available via Full Spectrum Features.
