Scott Hillhouse, or "House" as he is known to his crew, was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It was immediately following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps that Scott decided to go to film school in Orlando, Florida. There he would earn the Advanced Achievement Award of his graduating class while also directing his first short film, "Cooking with Calvin."
Scott would continue his education while working on film sets from Orlando to Los Angeles. Later, moving to Tulsa, Scott would create his own production company, "House Productions," and through it his second short film came to life.
Though this was not his first time directing, "Life's Little Gaps" did however mark his debut as writer and producer. Since its release in 2006, "Life's Little Gaps" has earned 12 awards including "Best Drama", "Best Story" and "Best Actor", along with 4 nominations as well as picked up two distribution deals.
