Jean-Edern Hallier was born on March 1, 1936 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Yvelines, France. He was a producer, known for Le joueur de quilles (1968), Lectures pour tous (1953) and Lunettes noires pour nuits blanches (1988). He was married to Anna Devoto-Falck. He died on January 12, 1997 in Deauville, Calvados, France.
