A native of Virginia, Christina Pitrelli is the oldest of two children and the only daughter of Anthony and Mary Pitrelli, both of Brooklyn, New York. She lived briefly in Point Pleasant, New Jersey as a small child, before moving with her family to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she attended Catholic school. As a young girl, Christina demonstrated an affinity for storytelling and performing. Her early years were spent listening to her Grandpa Angelo's ghost stories and jokes, singing songs taught to her by her mother at big family gatherings, and participating in Ft. Lauderdale children's theatre and dance. Christina attended college at James Madison University and law school at American University's Washington College of Law. It was her experience acting in a play organized by her law school that reconnected Christina with her desire to perform. Following graduation, she practiced law for a few years, and auditioned for roles in her spare time before the desire to be an actress and writer pushed her to leave the full-time practice of law to pursue her art on a professional level. In Spring, 2006, Christina was accepted into the class of legendary acting teacher Wynn Handman at Carnegie Hall. Wynn Handman has trained among other actors, Denzel Washington, Alec Baldwin, Joanne Woodward, John Leguizamo, Christopher Walken, Allison Janney, James Caan and Michael Douglas.
