Biography

Aleksandra is an award-winning Writer/Director with a background in Visual Effects. Her debut feature 'Dolls Can't Cry' staring BIFA awarded actress Lara Belmont, together with her short films have been screened and awarded multiple prizes at almost 100 film festivals worldwide. 'Last Day of Summer' was awarded by Young Artist Academy Awards (also known as 'Kiddies Oscars') for Best Performance in a Short Film for Young Actor. Most recent micro-short "Remind Me Yesterday' won 2nd place in Raindance One Minute competition. As a Writer/Director she took part in prestigious film development workshops run by Sources 2 in Norway and EKRAN+ at the Andrzej Wajda Studio in Poland. As a Visual Effects Artist, together with the team, she has been awarded an Emmy Award for her work on David Attenborough series and nominated for further two Emmy Awards. She has been mentored by Miranda Bowen as a part of Directors UK 'Inspire' scheme.
