Delene Scott

Delenes mother Betty Alexander Sutch, whilst serving in ENSA (Entertainments National Service Agency) and entertaining the troops in Cairo, met Jan Momberg, a handsome, South African serviceman who was serving there. In November 1945 Betty and Jan were married in Chiswick (where she grew up) and then moved to South Africa. Delene was born in December 1946 in Port Elizabeth her brother Hennie was born in September 1948 in Johannesburg. They later returned to Britain and in 1952 Delene started school at The Corona Performing Arts academy (as did her brother) in their mother's footsteps. It was at this time they both adopted the stage name "Scott" - so began their career in "show business".
