Matthew is the owner and self-proclaimed 'caretaker' of Spooky Truth Productions; a television production company based in Brooklyn, New York. His twelve years of directing documentary/non-fiction programming have earned him seven New York Emmy awards, four New York Festivals medals, two Cine Golden Eagle Awards and countless migraine headaches. His most recent documentary, "The Everyday-Benedictine Life at Mount Saviour Monastery" was nominated for three new York Emmy Awards and Won two (Best Long Form Camerawork, Best Sound Design).
Since forming Spooky Truth Productions in 1999, Matthew has directed/produced hundreds of hours of non-fiction programming for several clients including: Food Network, Discovery Channel, Court TV, YES Network, WE (Women's Entertainment) and PBS. The subjects of Matthew's films range both in subject and style and include profiles of bike messengers, garbage men, comic book artists, movie stars, paparazzi and Matthew's favorite topic, New York City.
Matthew lives with his wife Catherine on a dead-end street in Brooklyn; they are the proud parents of a baby girl and the ashamed owners of a depressed dog named Stetson. He is also a proud member of the Brooklyn's four-time championship winning bocce team Boccelism.
