Veronica Oberst

From the moment a crayon was put into her hands, Roni Oberst has always been driven to be creative and throw an artistic flair into everything she does. Seeing her talent, her parents encouraged her to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry. From photography, painting, to writing, Roni has a well-rounded outlook on the world. In 1998, she graduated from the San Francisco campus of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with an Associate Arts degree in Visual Communications. Shortly after, she relocated to Los Angeles to make her mark in Hollywood. She loves to work behind the scenes; working in both the art department and on the production side as a 2nd AD. Working both sides, she has become versatile and is eager to help wherever she is needed to make the film successful. Recently, she has moved back to the Bay Area where, in between projects, she is currently working on scripts of her own and working with a core group of writers on a few others. She has become an active member in the Bay Area division of the Gorilla Film Troupe Conspiracy. The GFTC is a core group of fellow independent film makers that don't just discuss films but actually go out there and make them. They just had their first ever screening of indie shorts at San Jose State University. As with everyone struggling in the film industry, Roni is paying her dues.
