Biography

Rocky Self was born in Winchester, Virginia and raised in Orlando, Florida. He began his film career after moving to Las Vegas at the ripe age of 21 and unexpectedly working as background performer on the feature film "The Mexican" starring Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Gene Hackman and others only to fall in love with show business and begin professional acting under the tutelage of Joseph Bernard, Gerald Gordon, Kevin Sorbo and The Second City Training Center. Rocky is best known for his wide range of talented work as a Method/Improvisation Actor as well as a utility asset in the Production Department. Rocky has worked on hundreds of Feature Films, Hit TV Shows, Awards Shows, Reality Shows, Commercials, Game Shows and Music Videos. He also enjoyed working with the Las Vegas hit Dinner Murder Mystery Theater show "Marriage Can Be Murder" as the victim and killer! Rocky has been a member of SAG/AFTRA since 2001 after gaining credentials while working on the star studded set of "America's Sweethearts" featuring Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Billy Crystal, Christopher Walken and John Cusack. A few of his favorite actors are Woody Harrelson, Cillian Murphy, Johnny Depp, John Boyega, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Shannon, Sylvester Stallone, John Bernthal, James Gandolfini, Bill Murray, Jordan Peele, Patricia Arquette, Allison Tolman, Juliette Lewis, Emma Stone, Peter Dinklage, Mads Mickelson and Tom Cruise.
