Kelly Lannin

Kelly was born in Houston Texas, where she resides most the year. She grew up in North Houston, and from an early age showed an affinity for animal training and an understanding of behavior, but showed to be both musically and artistically talented. Thoroughout her youth her love of animals was deemphasized due to pressure from her parents to excel in Vocal performance, acting, and music in general. As a young performer, she played as the principal actress in many youth and high school theatre productions, like Marian in 'The Music Man,' Grace in 'Annie' and was seen in many, many other theatrical productions. Her forte, however, was Vocal Performance. She went on to study Opera, but quit after two years, as her heart just wasn't in it. She then turned to her love of animals and behavior. Kelly finished her studies in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavoural theory and Modification. It was not until after she finished her undergraduate work, that she became interested in canine behavior, and began studying with some very accomplished trainers. With her knowledge about handling and training increasing, she became interested in learning about teaching behavior for media production. It was not long after that she began work on the Bracelet of Bordeaux, and was given a great opportunity to apply her extensive knowledge about many different species, not just dogs, and apply it to work on the film set. She has been working steadily ever since, not just as an animal trainer or wrangler, but as a Script Supervisor, Grip, and Assistant Director. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Kelly has certifications in canine behavior, training, and instruction.
