Biography

Christopher Abell was born in New York City to Greek and Maltese parents. From the age of 16, he developed a love of music, and has worked steadily as a guitar player ever since. While in New York, he played with regional acts 'Lucky Stiff' and Prime Evil Council'. 1985, he answered an ad to try out for Roadrunner artists 'Carnivore'. The pairing wasn't lengthy, but upon his exit, he recommended guitarist Marc Piovanetti who played on their second album - 'Retaliation', and continues with Louie Beateaux to After the death of Peter Steele in 2010, he's been involved with the sporadic reunion attempts - the last one taking place in 2011. In 1987, he moved to North Hollywood and lucked into an audition with ex-Runaways guitarist Lita Ford. Upon his return to NYC in 1988, he played with ex-Plasmatics guitarist Richie Stotts in King Flux, and with RCA's 'Manitoba's Wild Kingdom' featuring the band that eventually regrouped as 'The Dictators - Andy Shernoff, Handsome Dick Manitoba, and JP Patterson. After a move to Maryland in 1992, he started looking to acting jobs. His first major role was that of a pawnshop huckster in 'Thunder & Hurricane' (2005). After that, he was frequently featured in many of Dusty W. Fleischmans independent horror movies such as 'The Corn Stalker' and 'Corn Stalker II - Dead Man Stalking'. He continues to be a recording artist working with internet pioneers 'Project-43', and indie rock act 'The Freddie Long Band'.
