Markus Baumann

After several internships at some Swiss photographers studios and an internship by the Slowakian cameraman Silvio Lichtner, Markus Baumann worked during 18 years as a cameraman at the Swiss National Television SRF. After the 1990s he worked together with the Swiss Director and Cutter Hugo Sigrist. In 1991 they founded in Berne the film production company Büro für visuelle Medien. During the nineties Markus Baumann worked, together with the Polish Directors Krzysztof Kieslowski and Edward Zebrowski, as a cameraman at the acting school Berner Schauspielschule HMT, today HKB Bern. Since 2001 he is teaching at the HKB Bern and is working as an independent filmmaker.
