James M. Tate

Biography

James M. Tate runs the website Cult Film Freaks Dot Com, a blog that's been active since 2010 and over 2 million hits so far. His reviews mostly center on classic films from the 1930's to the 1980's. The catchphrase "From White Heat to Blue City" spans from James Cagney to The Brat Pack, basically, and beyond as there are also many new theatrical movies reviewed. The talent covered on his side range from Dana Andrews to Sue Lyon to Quentin Tarantino. Interviews are also on the site ranging from Karen Black, Lee Purcell, Sally Kirkland, Olivia Barash, Sid Haig and Louise Fletcher. And not all his reviews are positive, as happens on all movie sites. Sadly, because of this, at times he is the victim of online stalkers who have even created fake bios that belittle and bemoan his writing, and these bios lack punctuation and spelling yet are still excepted, somehow. That's to be expected though as movies, unlike religion, have no absolutes, and opinions vary... they should, anyhow. In a perfect world. But onward Cinema Soldier as there are always new-old movies and old-new movies to watch and enjoy, or not. But... you cannot please 'em all. You can only pass the time to fill it. And James has appeared in documentaries including a script-writing fan of the cult classic Troll 2 in the award-winning Best Worst Movie, and an episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
