Biography

Ryan is an actor and writer from Rochester, NY. He joined the Marine Corps at age 17, graduated from SUNY Oswego and later attained a master's degree from Syracuse University's Newhouse School. Ryan performed stand up comedy as a feature on the road before moving to LA. Since then he's studied improv and writing at IO West, UCB, Dosage Improv, UCLA and Westside Comedy Theater. He's performed stand up and improv on stages all over LA. Ryan's spent thousands of hours in writer's rooms and on set with TV's greatest talents, including Bob Boyett, Whitney Cummings, Bruce Helford, Michelle Nader, Melody Derloshon, and his greatest influence, Bill Lawrence. Ryan's career highlights include writing for "Undateable," "Roseanne," "Scrubs" webisodes, his animated series "Dad's Got Ninjas," and producing a vast amount of cat videos. Ryan has played lead roles in several short films and on the hit web show "Thirtynothing." Ryan lives in Santa Monica, CA with his cats, Footy and Pizza.
