Steve Krause was the son of a polish national who fought with the British army during world war 2. After the war his father was demobilized to Scotland where he married and setup home. Steve was born and brought up in Glasgow, Scotland. From an early age Steve showed a keen interest in Martial Arts and joined the newly formed Taekwondo Academy in Glasgow which had been setup under Korean Master Rhee Ki Ha. Steve became a successful student and eventual undefeated European champion at Taekwondo. Steve began his martial arts instructors career as a 4th Dan in Taekwondo, and eventual 7th Degree Master in Jeet Kune Do, after further training at the Inosanto Institute in Los Angeles under the Bruce Lee student, Dan Inosanto. On his return to Glasgow, Steve started the Krauseworld Martial Arts Academy with his brother Mike Krause. Krauseworld has trained over 30,000 martial artists in the UK under Steve and Mike's guidance spanning a period of more than 30 years. It was Steve's notoriety as a martial artist in Scotland that brought him to the attention of Scot's writer and Director Richard Jobson (The Purifiers, 2004) and landed Steve the role as a consultant and a part in the movie. Steve has since appeared in numerous media articles and promotions in the UK, including featuring in the Sky TV's 'Hollywood in Your Home' feature production. Today, Steve still lends some of his expertise at the Krauseworld Academy, but works more often as a self defense and safety awareness consultant for many top UK firms, and as a Personal Development Trainer and Coaching consultant.
