Héloïse Chung is a Korean-American screenwriter, director, and multidisciplinary artist with a supporting career in advertising. Her short film, "I'm Okay, You're Okay," that she wrote and co-directed was selected for the Women in Comedy Film Festival (2020), Women in Film Shorts Night (2020), and Asian American Film Thing (2019). She was selected by Women in Film for their 2019 mentorship program and by UP (Unlock her Potential) for their 2021 mentorship class.
Héloïse was born in Seoul and spent her childhood moving from one air force base to another as an only child to mixed race parents. As Heloise grew up, her interests in social justice and environmental issues coalesced into a heightened resolve to catalyze action through storytelling -- lensed through Korean American and female-driven narratives. Her non-screen pastimes include climbing, camping, and ceramic making.
