Bill Bailey served in the US Air Force after completing college. His assignment was with the Armed Forces Radio Network; his tour of duty in Turkey.
After leaving the Air Force and returning to hometown St. Louis, he took a position with KETC-TV, the local PBS affiliate. This was during the seminal days of Sesame Street, and NET (now PBS) was looking for more children's programming. Bill was given the task of writing and providing creative direction for Letter People, and stayed with the series during its entire run on NET/PBS.
After Letter People, Bill left public television and wrote and produced industrial films and theatrical productions for many Fortune 500 clients. He has also written a number of award-winning films for the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
